About Ultimate Life Write to the magazine

Your data, plainly

The Short Version

Ultimate Life Magazine keeps very little about you. Most visitors come to read about soil, seed and supper, then leave. We hold only what it takes to answer your notes and keep the pages loading. This notice spells out the rest, one plain piece at a time.

Ultimate Life Magazine is the party responsible for anything covered here. Got a question about any of it? Write to contact@ultimatelifemagazine.com and a person on our end will answer.

Notes You Send Us

Our contact form has two boxes. One takes your email address. The other takes your message. That is all it collects, and nothing else rides along with it.

Why do we want them? We read your note, and the address lets us write back. Maybe you asked how deep a raised bed should be, or you caught a mistake in a lawn piece. Either way, we hold each message for 12 months. After that we erase it. We never add your address to a mailing list, and you will get no newsletter you did not ask for.

What Our Servers Jot Down

Any website leaves a small trail when you open it. The machines that host our pages automatically log a few technical facts about each visit. These include your IP address and the type of browser you used, along with the time of the request. We look at those records for one reason. They help us run the site and guard it against attacks and junk traffic. Those logs never tell us who you are by name.

We Do Not Sell Your Details

Here is the plain answer. Ultimate Life Magazine does not sell personal information, ever. We do not pass it to anyone for advertising, either. No ad company gets your email address from us. Your notes stay between you and our writers.

Rights Under State Law

Some states give their residents extra control through US state privacy laws. California is one well known example, and more states keep adding their own rules. Depending on where you live, you may ask us to:

  • show you what we hold about you, so you know exactly what is on file
  • correct something that is wrong, such as a mistyped email address
  • delete what we have
  • let you opt out of any sale or sharing of your information

To use any of these rights, just write to contact@ultimatelifemagazine.com and tell us what you need. Asking will not change how we treat you. You still get every planting calendar and mowing guide, same as before.

Kids and This Site

We write for grown homeowners and renters with a yard to tend. Ultimate Life Magazine is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly gather information from them. That follows the federal rule known as COPPA, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. Are you a parent who thinks your child sent us a note? Email contact@ultimatelifemagazine.com and ask us to delete it. We will clear it out promptly.

When This Notice Changes

Rules shift now and then, and so might the way we run things. If we update this notice, the new version gets posted right here on this page. Nobody will email you about it. Stop by this page whenever you want the current word.
